China Aviation Museum

The Chinese Aviation Museum was first opened to the public on 11 November 1989, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army Air Force.
There are more than 200 aircraft on display, with an emphasis on the Korean War and the Cold War, the last aircraft is J-10A and FC-1.

During the Chinese New Year, my farther and I visited this museum. The outside aircraft are free for the visitor, but the cave in the side of Datangshan Mountain and another hall for the PLA Air Force is not, the price is 20RMB per person each exhibition.

1948年，豫剧名演员常香玉在西安招收了一批少年儿童，成立了“西安私立香玉剧校”，次年迁至兰州。为适应演出需要，又聘请了一些豫剧演员，将“香玉剧校”改名为“香玉剧社”。1950年8月剧社又迁回西安。1951年夏，常香玉在抗美援朝运动中，提出"为捐献一架飞机"义演的奋斗目标。西北党政领导为支持她的爱国行为，选派干部马云昌、荆桦、毛宙等到该社协助义演工作。义演巡回于西北、中南、华南各地，历经半年，完成捐献一架“香玉剧社号”战斗机的任务，受到中国人民抗美援朝总会和西北文化部的表彰和嘉奖。郭沫若十分感动，亲自给飞机题写机名。
